has been raising questions how evidence has been preserved. some of the everyday has been shown spilling out. during the durham novelist 2003 trial, physical evidence were critical to his conviction. prosecutors pointed out at the time that blood spatter inside the shorts suggested he'd stood over his wife while beating her to death. now peterson's lawyers believe these key pieces of evidence could be contaminated. evidence is supposed to be in sealed bags with logs that identify who handled the items and when. now, the defense has asked for a hearing to determine why the bags weren't sealed and who had access to them. we reached out to the clerk of courts, as well as police and prosecutors that are still waiting for a response. >> that was julia lewis.
